In a landmark moment for Berkeley Training and Educational Consultancy, the company hosted its first-ever offsite staff training event, titled SPARK 2025, on May 26, 2025, at the elegant Steigenberger Hotel in Doha. The event, held from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, brought the entire Berkeley team together for a day dedicated to learning, collaboration, and celebration.
The event began with a reflective presentation on Berkeley’s history, offering both longstanding staff and new employees an opportunity to appreciate the company’s journey and achievements. This shared perspective laid the groundwork for the rest of the day, which focused on building stronger connections and aligning the team with Berkeley’s values and future direction.
A key highlight of the day was a dynamic and interactive training session conducted by Mr. Angelo, Berkeley’s Senior Academic Trainer. The session focused on “Team Building” and featured a variety of group activities designed to enhance communication, trust, and problem-solving. Staff from all departments enthusiastically engaged in the hands-on exercises, which fostered teamwork and encouraged creative thinking. Winning teams were surprised with thoughtful gifts, recognizing their performance and spirit throughout the session.
Adding to the day’s importance, the company officially launched the new Berkeley Company Handbook. The handbook includes a comprehensive overview of the company’s history, vision, mission, and internal policies, and will serve as a practical reference for all staff moving forward. Its launch represents a step toward greater clarity, consistency, and shared understanding across the organization.
The event also served as a platform for exciting updates and well-earned recognition. Ms. Fiza Fathima, Berkeley’s Fashion Design Trainer, announced the introduction of a new course—Jewelry Designing—set to expand the company’s creative academic offerings and open new doors for aspiring designers.
Mr. Manoj, Business Development Manager at Berkeley, shared several key updates, including the introduction of a new “Best Performer of the Year” award. The program is designed to celebrate exceptional dedication and performance across the team. He also announced a special promotion: Student Counselor Ms. Fasmina has been promoted to Team Leader, in acknowledgment of her outstanding contributions and leadership qualities.
A moment of particular pride came with the recognition of several individuals for their ongoing dedication and excellence. Ms. Khatija Iqra, Senior Fashion Design Trainer, was honored for her long-standing service and exceptional commitment to the company. A pillar of Berkeley’s creative department, Ms. Iqra has consistently delivered excellence in her field and continues to be a source of inspiration to both students and colleagues.
Recognition was also given to Mr. Rahul, Multimedia Content Creator, and Mr. Shamil, Operations Executive, both of whom were rewarded for their exceptional contributions to the team. Their creativity, efficiency, and consistent support have played a vital role in the company’s continued growth and success.
As the event concluded, each staff member was presented with a Certificate of Participation, marking their active involvement and celebrating the energy they brought to the day. The atmosphere throughout was one of pride, unity, and shared achievement.
SPARK 2025 was more than a training program—it was a defining moment in Berkeley’s ongoing journey toward excellence. With fresh ideas launched, achievements celebrated, and team bonds strengthened, the event has set a high standard for future initiatives, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and professional development.
